Step 1: Make Contact
Reach out to me via my website contact form or Instagram messenger. If you use the web form can you include your mobile number please.

- Colour scheme preferences
- Whether framing is required
- Your timescale or when you need the piece
- Any reference photos (these are incredibly helpful to capture the feel and details)

Step 4: Commission Process
I keep in touch throughout the process to ensure you're happy with the composition and colour scheme. Once complete I will send you a final photo for sign off.
Step 5: Delivery or Collection
Once complete, I will carefully ship your artwork to you. If you are local, collection is also perfectly fine.
FAQs
What is a custom commission?
A custom commission is a bespoke piece of art created specifically for you, based on your ideas and preferences. The painting is completely unique, with your choice of subject, colour scheme, size, and framing in mind. No two commissions are ever the same. You can browse my website or Instagram to get a feel for the type of work I produce. I paint in a range of styles including landscape, floral, and abstract, and I aim to capture the exact feeling or mood you wish the painting to convey.
How long do I have to wait?
Wait times depend on current commissions in progress, but I update this monthly. When you first get in touch, I will give you an approximate timeline so you can plan ahead (especially important if the painting is for a gift or special occasion!). Currently, the typical wait time is around 4 weeks from the date of your initial enquiry until your artwork is ready.
Do I have to pay in full?
Once we have discussed and confirmed your choice, I request a 20% deposit to secure your commission place. The remaining balancing is paid on completion when you have confirmed you are happy with the finished piece.
How much do commissions cost and what sizes are available?
Each painting is unique and requires different amounts of time and materials, so costs vary. We can discuss your bespoke piece in detail when we first chat. For a rough guide, my website shows a range of typical sizes and prices. Commission sizes start from 60cm x 50cm up to 120cm x 100cm. If you choose framing, this will add approximately 3cm to each side.
What type of materials do you use?
I mainly paint with acrylics on stretched canvas. Once fully dry, each painting is coated in a protective varnish to enhance longevity and protect against UV damage. All paintings can be professionally framed, with your choice of frame to suit your preferred style. I’m happy to offer recommendations for framing styles that best complement your artwork.
Do I have to supply my own reference photo?
Often customers prefer to send their own, however if you would like some help to source pictures of a particular place, I can help with this. If you've seen a previous painting of my work that you like, we can base your piece off this with any preferences you may have.
Seascape Commission
This is a recent landscape commission of the Mourne Mountains from Murlough Beach. This was based on a previous painting, however this size suited the customers home best. This is a popular size (100cm x 70cm excluding the frame).
Landscape Commission
This is a commission based on the customer's reference photo. This is a beautiful area near Glencoe in Scotland, and holds a special meaning for the customer. The brief was simple, to paint the view in my landscape style while adding some softer floral detail and a sunset sky.
Abstract Commission
This customer had viewed my work in a gallery and narrowly missed the chance to buy. They reached out to commission a similar piece with a few colour changes, and a different colour frame to suit their home interior. They provided photos of their living space with a view to compliment their colour palette.
